MAXX is moving from ambitious product to enduring technical platform. We need a founding technical leader who can make architecture decisions, write exceptional code and build a small engineering organisation without slowing the company down.
What you'll own
- The technical architecture and engineering roadmap across voice, agents, integrations and data.
- Critical production systems from design through deployment and operation.
- Engineering quality, security, reliability and hiring standards.
- The trade-offs between customer urgency and a platform that can scale.
What exceptional looks like
- The platform becomes faster to extend as customer complexity grows.
- A small team ships safely at a pace larger teams struggle to match.
- Technical decisions create durable product and commercial advantages.
What we're looking for
- You still build deeply while leading clearly.
- You make consequential decisions with incomplete information.
- You can explain complex architecture to customers, founders and engineers.
Experience
- 8+ years building production software, including technical leadership.
- Distributed systems, cloud architecture, APIs and modern AI applications.
- Evidence of taking a product from early stage to reliable scale.
Nice to have
- Founding engineer or startup CTO experience
- Realtime voice, agent orchestration or security experience
